New Mexico Black Bear Hunts

Experience the New Mexico Black Bear Hunt of a Lifetime with Sierra Blanca Outfitters. Sit over a water hole, an apple orchard, spot and stalk, or let the dogs assist in your New Mexico Black bear Hunt.  We offer Black Bear hunts in Northern New Mexico on the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Have an opportunity to take a black bear in one of its many color phases:  black, brown, cinnamon, or blonde.

Land, Weapons, and Gear

The Land 

The hunt will take place on either public or private land in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.  All public land hunts are done through a draw system, which increases your odds compared to the preference point system. We Have guaranteed landowner tags for those who are unsuccessful in drawing a tag for public land. We offer fully guided hunts and also guide only hunts. Public or private land, you will experience a quality hunt.

Weapons

Rifle, Muzzleloader, or Archery

Gear

• Camo, boots, weather appropriate attire (lighter clothing for archery)
• Binoculars, range finder
• Rifle, muzzleloader or bow, ammo
• We Provide basic accommodations when stalking New Mexico elk: Tents and ATV's for covering ground and retrieving trophies

Black Bear Hunting Rates

2 on 1 hunt $3200 +  New Mexico State Hunting License. (You can purchase over the counter)
5 Day Bear Hunt.
Includes food, lodging, and guide.
 

Bear Hunting Season Dates

You can choose between the last two weeks in August, the last week of September, or the first two weeks of October

August-September is for archery

We are a family run operation here at Sierra Blanca Outfitters. Our home cooked meals, prepared by Norma Romero, will make you feel at home as we welcome you to be part of our family.
